I first learned about Dungeons & Dragons in the early 80's. I was in 7th grade. Our school had an open floor plan where a number of classes were in the center of the large open space. For us, the library was dead center and our classrooms surrounded it like villages surrounding a castle. Each class separated by free standing partitions. Along the perimeter of the mass of classrooms were our lockers.
One day I observed a couple of older 8th graders talking to each other. They were using terms like experience points, hit points and treasure discovered. Then the one kid that was doing the most talking gave the other kids small coin shaped discs.
It turns out that they were talking about Dungeons & Dragons and the kid handing out the coins was the Gamemaster rewarding his players for their last game session.
That got me intrigued and the rest is history as they say.
GameMaster Chuck was created to share my love of this game with the world.
